The staff and management of Tank Weld is heavily involved in many aspects of community organization, innercity infrastructure, projects, education, sports and development. Over the years, Tank-Weld has built basketball courts, soccer stadiums, computer centers and homework centers, repaired schools and churches, and assisted with the education of many young and upcoming students

Scholarship Program

Since 2006, Tank-Weld has extended its longstanding commitment to community development to the children of the company’s employees through an annual Scholarship Program.

The company has seen an increase in the number of applicants as well as employee interest in the program over the years, and in 2017 Tank-Weld awarded 73 students with scholarships – the largest amount of awardees since the start of the program.

The program began as an initiative to encourage education among the youth of Jamaica and to spark children’s interest in their own academic careers. Since its implementation, the program has continued to succeed in achieving its goal of building a better Jamaica by believing in the importance of a good education.
